About Roger Peters
You want confidence that someone who knows the room is in charge, so you can enjoy the night instead of running the entertainment.

42 years
Thousands of events
Rockford and 50 miles
Started in college
I started in college with radio, DJ work, and emceeing, and I've kept going for 42 years because I still enjoy it.
Along the way I've worked thousands of events across Northern Illinois and Southern Wisconsin. Weddings are the nights I'm built for, which is why being a Rockford wedding DJ and MC is the work I lead with today. Classic-car cruise nights and private parties are the other nights I still run by request.
Customers most often compliment performance and personality. What I want you to remember is simpler: confidence in me, and that I was easy and fun to work with.
I'm friendly and clear. I make the announcements that matter, then I get out of the way and let the music work. Maturity with older guests. Playing to the crowd. Oldies and retro are a strength, and I still play what your room will dance to. You get must-plays and do-not-plays. After that I read the crowd.
I deliberately avoid talking too much, inappropriate jokes, embarrassing guests, music that does not fit the room, or making the night about myself.

Some DJs make the night about themselves. Too much microphone. Wrong music for the room. A playlist left running alone. Missed cues. Guests get bored.
Experience and reading an audience are what keep a night dependable, with clear announcements, a timeline that hits, and music that fits your people.
One recurring proof is Smokin Coop Cruise Night. Every Wednesday I set up the audio, play music for cruisers and customers, and handle the announcements in the Belvidere lot.
That is the same dependable style I bring to a wedding or a private party: setup, music, clear announcements, and reading the room, not a nightclub act.
You may know me from WRPS or 97 ZOK / Q98.5. Radio work sharpened how I communicate with people. It is a credential, not the offer.
This page is about the person who shows up for your wedding, your party, or your classic-car cruise night.
When you are ready, call 815-703-6775 or check your date. We talk through the night, a $200 deposit holds it, and I show up and run it. Custom quote. No package maze.

No. Oldies and retro are a strength, and I read the room for what your guests will actually dance to.
No. I'm experienced, family-friendly, and wedding-friendly. Maturity with older guests. I read the room instead of forcing a club set.
I DJ and MC. Announcements, cueing, and reading the room are part of the job, not extras you have to chase.
